When you decide you are ready to buy a house, whether it’s for the first time or you’ve been through the experience before, you have lots of questions – about mortgages, credit, inspections, neighborhoods and many other things.

NeighborWorks® is a one-stop-shop, providing all the answers and support a homebuyer needs- homebuyer education, realty, financial coaching, foreclosure counseling, and more.

What makes NeighborWorks® different is our non-profit mission: to build great communities, one dream home at a time. That means we keep the buyer’s best interests front and center throughout the home buying process, from the day they come through our door to the day we hand them the keys to a home of their own and beyond.

US Veteran Finds A Home

David Ortega is a retired sergeant and Iraq War veteran, Ortega lives with his wife and four children in a four-bedroom, single-family Quincy home that NeighborWorks® Southern Mass and the City of Quincy purchased and renovated for veterans’ housing in 2013. Before they moved in, David and his family were homeless. “As a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, I am truly grateful for being able to provide my family with a safe and comfortable home,” Ortega said. “NeighborWorks® has just been awesome: My kids love the house, they have friends that sleep over and play in the backyard. It’s just been amazing. I could not ask for more.”
