How to Apply

Since 1981, NeighborWorks® Southern Mass has offered a housing rehabilitation and loan program to homeowners. Once a request is made; the household income is assessed. Following this assessment, the construction manager does a thorough inspection, work write-up, and cost estimate.

Loans are designed with varying interest rates and terms to meet the specific needs of the customer. There is a bidding process and the construction manager assists the owner throughout the rehab process. Funding for these loans comes from a variety of sources: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the HOME program (a HUD funded program administered through the city of Quincy), NeighborWorks® America, State funds, foundation grants and financial institutions.
