Free Tax Preparation Program

In 2017, NeighborWorks Southern Mass was helped  547 members of local communities complete their previous year tax return as a part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.  VITA offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

DATES:

February 3 through April 9
No taxes on Monday, February 19 or Saturday, March 17

LOCATIONS AND TIMES:

Mondays 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Brockton Public Library, 304 Main Street, Brockton
Wednesday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Randolph Intergenerational Community Center, 128 Pleasant Street, Randolph
Saturdays 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Massasoit Community College, One Massasoit Boulevard, Brockton
